Client Overview
Insignis is a UK fintech company that provides management solutions designed to help organisations and financial advisers access competitive deposit rates while managing cash efficiently and securely.

With a growing team operating across London and Cambridge in a hybrid working environment, the company required a technology platform capable of supporting both rapid growth and the strict regulatory expectations of the financial services sector.

Roadmap began working with Insignis in January 2025 following a leadership transition that placed a strong emphasis on improving the company’s technology foundations.

The Challenge
When the new CEO and CTO joined the business, they quickly identified that the existing IT systems and support structure were not aligned with the organisation’s operational and security needs.

In particular, there were concerns around:

• Device management and access control
• Cyber security maturity
• The ability to scale systems as the business continued to grow
• Compliance with frameworks such as ISO27001 and DORA

The CEO had previously worked with Roadmap at another organisation and knew the level of structure, security and reliability required to support a growing fintech business.

Roadmap was asked to review the environment and implement a modern IT framework capable of supporting both regulatory compliance and long-term scalability.

Roadmap’s Approach
Roadmap began with a comprehensive onsite IT audit, including:

• Technical infrastructure reviews
• Staff interviews to understand day-to-day challenges
• Analysis of existing IT policies and documentation

Working closely with the CTO and internal IT team, Roadmap developed a strategic improvement plan focused on strengthening cyber security while improving operational efficiency.

A detailed device management framework was created that mapped every application used across the organisation and defined appropriate role-based access controls (RBAC) for each system.

This collaborative approach ensured clear responsibilities between Roadmap and the internal IT team while creating a scalable architecture designed for growth.

The Solution
Roadmap implemented a secure, modern IT platform combining managed services with advanced identity, endpoint and cloud protection. Key components included:

Managed IT Services
• Remote helpdesk support
• Onsite desktop support
• Onsite IT Manager services
• Staff workshops to improve confidence in IT

Device & Identity Management
• JumpCloud device and identity platform
• Centralised access control and user lifecycle management
• MFA, SSO and conditional access policies
• Integration with Apple Business Manager and Microsoft Intune for zero-touch deployments

Endpoint Security
• Biometric authentication
• Device encryption and key management
• Antivirus, malware protection
• Vulnerability scanning
• Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)

Network Security
• Malware protection
• DNS and web filtering
• Data loss prevention
• Automated Wi-Fi security and logging

Microsoft 365 Protection
• Advanced ransomware and phishing protection
• Account takeover detection
• Incident response capability
• Encrypted Microsoft 365 backup isolated from the production environment

These controls support the security and governance requirements expected under ISO27001 and other financial sector compliance frameworks.

The Results
The transformation delivered immediate improvements across both security and operational performance.

Key outcomes included:
• Significantly improved cyber security posture
• Greater confidence in IT across staff and senior management
• More efficient device management and user lifecycle processes
• Reduced reliance on internal IT resource as

Roadmap assumed operational responsibility
• A scalable platform capable of supporting continued company growth
• Technology controls that enabled Insignis to achieve ISO27001 certification

By combining strategic guidance with responsive managed support, Roadmap provided Insignis with a technology environment that is secure, scalable and aligned with the demands of a modern fintech organisation.
